Everybody Deserves a Spot in the Sun
I worked with the CEO of Dunn Lumber alongside Creative Director, Rachelle Cummings to develop a campaign centered on encouraging people in dark and rainy Seattle to prioritize creating an outdoor space for themselves, no matter how small. He really cares about the community, which is prone to seasonal affective disorder from the long fall and winter and wanted to make it clear that they were a genuine resource available to residents - offering free help from his staff to help design projects even if people aren’t intending on buying from them.
We wanted to make the store, which is a go-to for contractors, more approachable to homeowners and apartment dwellers. I developed a story of a woman who noticed the potential in her space and with the help of DL was able to make an outdoor dining space to share with others.
